So..What´s stopping you?
Have you ever stopped to ask yourself this question?
Every day as we go about our daily lives we are in constant communication with our self. We have this constant babbling going on in our mind....this self talk. Most of us aren´t even aware of it and if we are, we do it without realising just how powerful it is and the effect that it has on our health, work, relationships and finances.
Stop for just a minute and listen to what you are saying to yourself about what you have just read.
Every thought we have is an inner dialogue with our subconscious mind.
This dictates how we react and behave in every situation.
The power that this has over our life is immense.
The thing is that you have the power to improve your life in every area very simply by noticing what you are telling yourself.
Lets look at what you tell yourself when you wake up in the morning.
Do you get out of bed and think...hey gorgeous, what amazing experiences are we going to have today? ..or
do you get out of bed and think...here we go again another day of doing things that I don't really want to do?
What do you say to yourself when you look in the mirror?
OMG I look tired / old/ I have lines under my eyes/ my bum is too big....need I go on?
What if all it took to change your life was to be kinder to yourself.
I can hear you now...yeah really!
Well, yeah REALLY!
Our subconscious mind is responsible for keeping us safe.
Our subconscious mind loves us and does all it can to make sure that we get everything we ask for. It doesn´t discriminate EVER, it has no sense of right or wrong, true or false, it takes everything we think and say and creates according to our beliefs.
How often do you say to yourself "I´m overweight / not good at ....../ I don´t have the time/ money or ability". All of these things without the realisation that you are actually creating the situation where that cannot change.
We all have basic belief systems in place that have been nurtured over our lifetime starting with our parents then moving on to our teachers, religious leaders, doctors, work colleagues, etc.,.
We are taught from birth to look to others for what is acceptable and right when in fact we are all unique and have an inner knowledge that tells us what is right for us. What if everything that you believed to be true about everything you have learned was actually not true for you? I know that's a very challenging statement however just think for a minute about how many times you have believed something to be true only to find out that it wasn´t necessarily.
I´m not asking you believe me, I´m just asking you to consider the possibility that you know what´s best for you. What if you had the choice in every second to believe in YOU. What if you noticed what you were telling yourself and then chose to tell yourself something different?
The challenge, if you wish to accept it, is quite simply to notice what you are telling yourself. Notice how you communicate with you and then just be kinder to you, give yourself a break, look at what a wonderful, amazing being you really are and what you are really capable of....and then watch your life change!
"You are what you think.
Would you like to change your life? It´s easy!
