B R E A T H E Have you ever heard something and thought to yourself - yeah, really, it´s that simple, no way! And then you might give it a go, half-heartedly, because, well...it really cannot be that simple, can it? So you dabble a little, get no obvious results, and give up. You see, I told you, it is not that simple, you say. Every day, millions of people do this with lots of different things they dabble. They hear something that sounds too easy and too good to be true. BUT, well, what if it works, so they "give it a go" - BUT they don't give it a chance. I did this for many years with breathing. I mean, we breathe every minute of every day, don't we? So what´s the big deal? Thankfully, eventually, I decided to make a conscious, focused effort to plug in. I kept coming across research and articles and courses about Breathwork until I really couldn't ignore it any longer. ..........................and wow! Breathe , I say. Of course I'm breathing you say, I would be dead if I wasn't, Dummy! If there is one thing that changes everything in your life, it is your breath. Breathing not only supplies our organs with oxygen. It also rids the body of waste products and toxins……and it is all about flow! When we are flowing, we feel good….it´s that simple! Did you know:
Did you know that the ‘simple’ act of breathing properly immediately boosts the immune system! Breath gives us life and optimal health. The first thing we do when we enter this world is inhale and the last thing we do before we gain our Angel Wings is exhale. When you practice breathing consciously you oxygenate the cells and tissues of your body, you create and maintain flow, and you connect to your life force; you plug into your power source. If we do not plug in our appliances, they will not work. If we do not start the ignition of our car, it will not go anywhere. If we do not connect to our power source we will fade and eventually run out of energy. Go on! Give it a go! It really IS that simple! You will find some information and exercises to get you started here....Breathing The only person stopping you is you. You Got This. Let me know how it goes. You Got This.

Think for a minute. When you cut yourself, do you worry that it will keep bleeding out and not heal? Usually, the answer to that will be no-we know that in a healthy body, the blood will clot and the cut will heal. When you break a bone, sometimes you need to have it "set" so it heals properly. The doctor will align the bone to make sure it knits together optimally, but the body does the healing. If you leave the bone misaligned, it will still knit together and heal. The trick is to know when you need to give your body a bit of help. Some of the times when you need to help your body are:
In a nutshell, what happens is whenever you get some kind of attack your immune system kicks in to defend you. It has three lines of defence (soldiers) that keep your body safe. Your body is very clever.
We are all living within constant change which we at times find exciting, challenging, motivational and inspirational while at other times fell may feel anxious, stressed, angry, worried and even defeated. With these changes in our world often our thoughts and emotions feel like they are on a roller-coaster racing up and down and twisting every which way. This eventually becomes totally overwhelming. Have you ever wanted to just - stop that thought from going round and round in your head? let go of the worry, anxiety and stress of it all? How awesome would it be to have the ability to do just that? Believe it or not, we cannot have more than one thought at a time, seems inconceivable doesn´t it when your head is spinning and it feels like the thoughts are all queued up and even jumping the queue! There is much debate about the number of thoughts we have in a day, however - it´s a lot! Most "experts" do agree that up to 80% of those thoughts are negative and they even suggest that a whopping 95% are repetitive thoughts, exactly the same as the day before. This isn´t too surprising when we look at our daily routines. So the BIG question is how do we take some control of our thoughts to help us relax and feel happier more often? The first step is to make the decision to do just that. Yes, I know it sounds too simple however, it´s true. The one thing we have absolute control over is how we feel, doesn´t feel like it, does it? We have the choice every second, of every minute, of every day how we feel, how we react or respond to anything. When you begin to connect to your feelings with this understanding your life will change - for the better! We are all very different, we have unique perspectives and reactions to the world around us and this means that what works for one person will not necessarily work for you nonetheless, there is always something that will work. so, if you would like to feel better more of the time, let´s look at some ways that will help:
Proper breathing is the MOST beneficial thing that you can do for your physical and emotional health. We use this all the time without realising it. Your subconscious mind is in constant communication with your breath. Breath gives us life and optimal health. The first thing we do when we enter this world is inhale and the last thing we do before we gain our Angel Wings is exhale. When you practice breathing consciously you oxygenate the cells and tissues of your body and you create and maintain flow. Breathing practice can:
When we are flowing, we feel good….it´s that simple! When we are in pain, stressed or anxious we have a tendency to hold our breath or breathe shallow breaths. This sends a distress signal to our brain that we are not feeling safe and relaxed, and can make the situation worse. By using breathing exercises we can avoid this and also promote better health and emotional peace. As soon as you take a focused, conscious breath the message is sent that you are safe; your body floods with endorphins which make you feel relaxed and increase well-being. One of the simplest breathing exercises is to focus on the out breath; when you blow that breath out through the mouth it´s like releasing the air from a balloon or opening a valve, you can feel the tension leaving the body. Try it! 2. THE 3-3-3- RULE When you feel anxious, worried or have thoughts spinning in your head the 3-3-3 rule helps to shift the focus which helps to reduce the feelings. As with every tool, the first thing you do is take a deep breath; immediately your body chemistry will change.
3. WALK / RUN / EXERCISE When we initiate the stress response the body releases adrenaline and we get a "buzz". The physical act of moving helps to use up the adrenaline, makes us focus on breathing (we do not actually realise that we are focused on breath) and so communicate to our subconscious that we are in control. 4. ACTIVATE THE TRIPLE WARMER Have you ever noticed people standing with their legs slightly apart and holding their wrist either in front or behind them? This stance is a natural way in which we calm ourselves. There is an energy meridian that runs through the body called the triple warmer. This meridian controls our fight or flight response. When you hold your wrist and breathe you are again communicating that you are safe. It´s a tool you can use anywhere and is highly effective! 5. TAPPING Tapping on the body´s energy meridians effectively sends a message to the brain that says “ I am safe” , "there is no threat" and the brain then takes the body out of the “FIGHT OR FLIGHT “ mode. There are many tapping techniques that you can use, here is mine: REMEMBER to breathe throughout. These are some simple tools to use and there are many more. If you would like some help please feel free to contact me here. Wherever you are , whatever you are doing, have an awesome day! Breathe , I say. Of course I'm breathing you say, I would be dead if I wasn't, Dummy! We can survive for around 3 weeks without food or 3 days without water. We cannot survive more than 5 - 6 minutes without breathing! Did you know that the ‘simple’ act of breathing properly immediately boosts the immune system! When you breathe unconsciously its like watching a video that keeps buffering, it doesn't flow, the quality is poor and you have to keep pausing it to try to get it to play well. A similar thing happens in your body when you do not breathe properly. Your body doesn't get enough oxygen and doesn't release the carbon dioxide waste so as it all builds up you have less energy and the body becomes out of balance leading to dis-ease. Breathing not only supplies our organs with oxygen, it also rids the body of waste products and toxins. When we are in pain, stressed or anxious we have a tendency to hold our breath or breathe shallow breathes. This sends a distress signal to our brain and can make the situation worse. By using breathing exercises we can avoid this and improve our health.Sound good? So let´s have a look! Are you a chest breather? or a belly breather? Place your right hand on your chest and your left hand on your belly. Breathe in , which hand moves higher. If your right hand is higher, you are a chest breather. If your left hand is higher, you are an belly breather. When you are chest breathing it is inefficient because then the greatest amount of blood flow occurs in the lower lobes of the lungs, areas that have limited air expansion in chest breathers. Rapid, shallow, chest breathing results in less oxygen transfer to the blood and subsequent poor delivery of nutrients to the tissues as well as retained carbon dioxide in the body. This is a learned habit, so therefore, like when you learn to drive, you can train the body to improve its breathing technique. If you do this consciously and regularly you will breathe from the belly most of the time, even while asleep. Daily exercises Breathing exercises should be done at least twice a day, when you wake up and before you go to sleep. It is also beneficial to do them if you feel stressed, anxious or are in pain.

An allergy is the body´s reaction to substances that are usually harmless to most people. When you're allergic to something, your immune system mistakenly believes that this substance is harmful to your body and your immune system identifies it as an allergen. An allergen is any substance that the body recognises as foreign or dangerous. Allergies are not caused by pollen, foods, medicines, etc.,.however in some people these things can act as triggers causing the body to react. In an attempt to protect the body, the immune system produces IgE antibodies to that allergen. Those antibodies then cause certain cells in the body to release chemicals into the bloodstream, one of which is histamine. The trigger is not the reason the body is reacting, if that were so everyone would react, wouldn´t they? Why Do People Get Allergies It has been suggested that the tendency to develop allergies is often genetic, however, as with all genes, just because you have an inherited gene doesn't mean you will definitely develop the allergy/disease/illness that your family genes may show. A person usually doesn't inherit a particular allergy/disease/illness,just the genetic tendency towards these. A healthy body with a strong immune system does not have allergies. So why do we get allergies then….
Types of Allergic Diseases The fact is that many conditions are caused by an allergic response in the body. It is not only runny noses, itchy eyes and rashes that are the signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction. When there is a build up of toxins and the body cannot eliminate them we then see signs of disease and chronic illness - some of the most common are:
Dealing with Allergies So you have an allergy, what do you do? The conventional treatment for allergies is avoidance and suppression of the symptoms. While this will give temporary relief it will not improve the condition sufficiently unless you are able to completely avoid the allergen for the rest of your life. Also as the body will still be in a state of imbalance it usually will mean that this will show up in another way. To correct allergic conditions, the body must be brought into balance and allowed to self heal. Detoxification and strengthening of the immune system while avoiding the allergic trigger is important. Keeping It Super Simple: Give your body what it needs to do its job, it will always strive for health and wellness and even the most toxic body will find a way to maintain life as long as possible. Getting the basic needs of the body are, as always, the first step :
Of course you can always opt for the band aid / quick fix, and pop a pill or nasal spray or live your life avoiding , for some people, a multitude of triggers.
