It is my belief that we must take responsibility, 100% responsibility , for our health and our actions. The body has an inbuilt, natural defence system and by doing all that we can to get into optimal health and strengthen our immune system we are taking responsibility for our self AND at the same time protecting others. In the weeks and months to follow there is going to be a lot of information out there, and you will wonder what is right or wrong. Only you can decide on what works for you. "FEAR is the fastest spreading virus known to mankind" Stress, worry , anxiety, fear, all paralyse the immune system if left unchecked, and effectively mean that you are more susceptible to contracting and spreading any virus that is around. The fear mongering and media frenzy is unlikely to be addressed therefore it is up to you to take control and arm yourself with the tools you need and get into optimal health! You have got this! One of the tools I use is "Tapping" and this is a very effective tool for releasing anxiety and fear. Whatever you use remember to K.I.S.S. - Keep It Super Simple. If you find yourself in a situation where you feel that someone or something is making you feel or act a certain way that you are not happy with and you cannot change the person or thing , what do you do? So Why does Tapping work? by Linda Anne Ledwidge Our body is an amazing machine, it is constantly regenerating, self-healing, self medicating and working to ensure the continual flow of blood and oxygen to all the organs and to maintain a balance of all the hormones and chemicals produced within. Our body does this naturally............until we get in the way. Are you aware that at least 95% of all illness and disease is caused by the way we REACT to .... Stress occurs when your mind believes that you are in some kind of danger – whether emotional or physical. Your body pumps adrenaline into your system to give you a boost. This is called the “fight or flight” response. The ideal scenario is that only life threatening situations trigger the stress response in our body which allows us to act quickly with less thought and faster reflexes. However in our society the stress response is often triggered by a ringing phone, a deadline, a boss, a family member, watching television or any number of other non-life-threatening situations.The long-term effects of continual stress are dangerous – even deadly – to our health and happiness, and, as you can see, stress is everywhere. The television is on stand by, ready to pop on at the touch of a button, the computer is on stand by to save us having to wait for it to load when we want to use it and we go on stand by ready to fly when there is a seat available. Have you noticed how much of your life you spend on stand by? For our body that stand by state is when the mind and body are disconnected. The communication is interrupted. When the mind and the body are connected and in harmony, the body uses its own innate intelligence to self-heal, self medicate and regenerate. When our body is functioning optimally our mind and body work together to maintain the delicate balance that is necessary for health and happiness. There is a connection that flows between the mind and the body, an energetic connection as well as a physical one. We all know that our body needs the flow of blood and oxygen to function, don´t we? What most people do not realise is that we also have an energy flow. It's a bit like an electric current. Just because we cannot see electricity doesn´t mean it's not there. We rely on it every day, we know that if there is a disconnection in the circuit the electricity will not flow and we will have no power. Our body works in the same way, with our energy flow. Our energy flow responds to how we FEEL. As soon as we feel in any way "negative" our energy flow becomes disrupted, our body goes into stress mode, we disconnect and go into "stand by". In order to function optimally we have to reconnect that supply............and its easy!
