If you find yourself thinking that life is unfair, that you are a victim of your past, and because of that you cannot see a fulfilling future, think again. Maybe its time for you to take Step 1 - accept 100% responsibility for how you feel. Make this your priority. So, unless you have a time machine, or special powers..... NOW is the time! You cannot go back and undo, or redo, the past. You can stand where you are and keep remembering it over and over in the same (albeit different) way, or you can think about it differently. Whether you are thinking about the past the present, or the future you are doing it N O W! You can´t go back. There is no regression, there is only movement forward, change, and growth. When you try to go back and undo or redo things you cause dis-ease. You cannot go back just like the river cannot flow upstream. The only person stopping you is Y O U! You Got This. Let me know how it goes. Have you noticed how much of your life you spend on standby? You know what standby is, don´t you? The television has a standby mode, ready to pop on at the touch of a button; the computer has standby to save us having to wait for it to load when we want to use it, and we go on standby ready to fly when there is a seat available. When your body is on standby the mind and body are disconnected. The communication is interrupted. When your mind and body are connected and in harmony, your body uses its own innate intelligence to self-heal, self medicate and regenerate. When your body is functioning optimally your mind and body work together to maintain the delicate balance that is necessary for health and happiness. There is a connection that flows between your mind and body, an energetic connection as well as a physical one. It is common knowledge that your body needs the flow of blood and oxygen to function. What is not so well known is that you also have an energy flow through your body. It's like an electric current, and just because you cannot see electricity doesn´t mean it's not there, does it? You rely on electricity every day, you know that if there is a disconnection in the circuit the electricity will not flow and you will have no power. Your body works in exactly the same way. Your energy flow is responding to how you FEEL. As soon as you feel in any way uneasy your energy flow becomes disrupted, you lose power, your body goes into "standby". In order to function optimally you have to reconnect that supply............and its easy! There are many tools that can help you to reconnect easily and quickly, restoring the mind/body connection and allowing you to switch back on. There is ONE sure-fire way to restore and maintain that connection and flow, Redress Stress. A simple step-by-step guide that reveals the power available to everyone to take control of their life. So are you ready to be switched on? Go to Redress Stress The only person stopping you is Y O U. You Got This.

You can move forward differently. When you do not know WHY you cannot find HOW. We have an inborn response to anything that we perceive as a threat. It is nature´s way of protecting us. It is nature´s blessing - your stress response - you are Blessed with Stress. When you change the way you think about your stressors, you update your belief system. Changing your perception and updating your beliefs changes the way your body responds, which helps to burn off the hormones flooding through your body. Now you are sending out new signals that you are safe. You are now out of the problem and in the solution. You can now find HOW. Pivot Point: The mind views internal conflict as a threat… and this initiates our innate stress response to keep us safe. What is THE most important thing? How you feel! Let me give you an example: My mobile phone kept defaulting to a 30-second screen timeout. No matter how many times I changed the setting, it defaulted back again. It was driving me nuts. It was frustrating and annoying. (This is what I was thinking. This was my story about it. I was using these words.) Now I am usually quick to find out the cause of things like that; however, because I was in this state of semi-stress, I could not think clearly. My brain had shut down the part that processes logical thinking. I just kept doing the same thing and getting the same results. (I was telling the same story) How many times has the same thing happened to you? You know, logically, that the results will not change, although you cannot help yourself. Do you keep doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results? Then I had an “aha” moment. One day I was doing something on my phone when it timed out. Instead of what had become my usual (default) response, I asked Mrs Google, she who knows all. It turned out the answer to my question was in the power saving options. How simple. My phone was behaving as I programmed it, as I had told it to do. When I was not actively using it, it went into relaxation mode and rested until it was time to start up again. All the functionality still carried on, the phone was still running and saving battery for when it needed a boost. I was so amazed at the way this dovetailed with the way I work, that it made me think about the everyday things we do and how they mirror the internal working of our body. When I told the phone to change this setting, it responded, well, who would have thought it was so easy. Your body works in the same way, you tell it what you want (program it with your thoughts), and the mind gives it to you. (causes the chemical and physical reaction in your body) Your mind has two functions: 1. Survival. 2. Regeneration. (Healing, growth, and development) It is innate intelligence. When your mind believes you are in danger, your body needs to focus all its resources on survival, keeping you safe. It directs all blood flow and energy to maintain life and get you to safety. Your body naturally shuts down systems that are not essential for survival right now, so it can direct the energy to where it needs it the most to deal with the threat. The thing is, as you live your life and experience different people, places, and things, your preferences change. However, if you have a belief that those preferences are not the best for you, or you are not good enough for them, this creates a conflict within you. This conflict causes emotional tension, which triggers the stress response and physical tension in your body, which leads to pain and dis-ease, if not released. Stressor: something that causes stress or tension What happens when the mind perceives a threat–yes, you got it–the Stress Response kicks in. So, now you know WHY, you can move forward with HOW. The only person stopping you is you. You Got This.

Many people go through life thinking that they feel good or bad, happy or sad, content or angry, because of the people in their life, the things that are happening around them, or the environment that they are living in. They believe that the actions of other people, the environment they are living in, and the things that are happening in their lives, are what influence their mood, i.e. affect the way they feel. While it is true that these things CAN influence the way we feel, they can only do so IF we allow it - No one, No place, and No thing can MAKE you feel a certain way unless you allow it to. I am going to say that again because most people do not really get it - No one, No place, and No thing can MAKE you feel a certain way unless you allow it to. We are even brainwashed into believing that our happiness SHOULD depend on all of these things outside of us and outwith our control! We are taught this from a very young age. When we live with this belief, we give away our power to feel better every day. What if it was a lie? What if, no matter what was going on around you, you could choose to be at peace with it, or not? BUT What if, whatever you choose to feel you control, no one else. You take responsibility for how you feel and how you react - you then have 100% Response-ability and you become Response-able. Would you believe me? or do you believe that the way you feel depends on things outwith your control? Well, what can I say, it´s B O L L O C K S - if you have been brainwashed into this belief you can free yourself NOW! As always, the choice is yours. As William Arthur Ward said -"Happiness is an inside job" You have no control over anyone else or their behaviour. You have no control over your government, your weather, or your pets. The only thing you CAN control is how you react to anything, this will determine how you feel, your actions, and in turn the reactions from those around you. This alone changes your whole world! Go on, give it a try, you have nothing to lose. Start today. The only person stopping you is you. You Got This. Let me know how it goes. Linda Ledwidge

Let’s face it – we all find some comfort in a tasty meal and a bottle of beer or glass of wine when we stress out or get upset about something. There is nothing wrong with that in moderation; however, it’s not a good permanent solution. When you are turning to what you regard as unhealthy foods you can feel better temporarily, but in the long run, you will feel worse. If your body is not getting the right nutrition, you will feel less energetic, more lethargic, and sometimes unable to concentrate and focus. What does that lead to? YES - even more stress. Stress-less foods If you’ve been feeling more stressed out than usual lately, it’s important to know which foods to choose and which to avoid when it comes to redressing stress and helping you to deal with feelings of anxiety. With food and nutrition, the best way to stress-less is to have a healthy, balanced diet, which includes each of the different food groups. Filling up on foods such as whole grains, leafy vegetables, and lean proteins as the basic staples of your diet is the best way to ensure your body gets the optimum amounts of nutrients to fight both physical and mental health problems. When choosing the foods to eat, remember many have a range of magnificent properties that help the body redress stress. Choosing stress-less foods will help to heal and calm your mind permanently, rather than providing a temporary fix. Some of the best stress-less foods include:
Plan to stress-less Planning your meals wisely is the key to staying physically fit and healthy, mentally strong, and being able to stress-less. It really helps to know the foods to avoid and the foods that are best to reach for as snacks when you are feeling worried and anxious. During stress it can be tempting to eat classic ‘comfort foods’ – these are usually foods high in sugar, very starchy, or greasy. However, although these foods can make you feel temporarily better, they will make you feel worse in the long run. Stress-less snacks include:
When you are dealing with worry or anxiety leading to stress, it is a good idea to make sure you have a selection of stress-less foods in your kitchen. Making sure that your meals include foods such as lean proteins and leafy green vegetables will not only make you feel healthier overall, it will improve your mental health and stress levels, too. An example of a healthy, stress-less menu: Breakfast: Oatmeal with berries / fruit smoothie with avocado and berries Mid-morning snack: Natural yogurt with fruit /handful of pistachio nuts Lunch: A whole-grain pasta salad filled with plenty of leafy greens Afternoon snack: Dark chocolate Dinner: Grass-fed beef with vegetables Before bed: Chamomile tea There is a saying – “you are what you eat”.
