K.I.S.S. and STAY healthyI was having a conversation with my son about his diet and it prompted me to write this. You see my son is a healthy 17 year old boy who trains for his football team 4 nights a week and plays a football match at the weekend. He also works all day and goes out with his friends, in other words a normal boy of his age. He will not however eat what I call a balanced diet. As a child he ate all manner of fruit and vegetables and growing up all 3 of our children had few sweets and did not eat processed foods as a rule. As our children get older it becomes more difficult for us as parents to influence what they eat, and I can say that whether they have always eaten a "healthy" diet or not does not always make any difference. As I was having, what is becoming a routine conversation with my son about his diet it occurred to me that part of the problem is that he feels well. You see our bodies are amazing , we can do many potentially damaging things for fairly long periods of time and our body will strive to maintain that balance that allows us to live what appears to be a healthy life. Just because we have no "real" symptoms of illness we assume that all is well. In simple terms, our body will take what it needs to maintain life. If you can imagine that in our body all our organs, cells, bones and muscles need energy and nutrition, if we are not putting the correct form or amount in then the body has to prioritize which areas get what first and that is exactly what happens. What this means is that the body will "rob" certain areas to provide nutritional support for other more vital areas, this happens continually in all humans. When we are young we have more supplies and as we get older, if we do not replenish these supplies, then they will diminish, we then start to get signs and symptoms of illness / dis-ease and we wonder what on earth can be causing it! As I explained to my son, the fact that he is not giving his body the nutritional support that it needs right now, is not a big issue for him, right now, he is young and has other areas that the body can get what it needs to maintain life from, however, in future, if he continues as he is now, he will find that he will perhaps have less energy, allergies, skin problems, and a whole host of other "signs" to tell him there is a problem to be addressed. If he ignores these signs that can then lead to more serious illness. It is too easy for us to wait until we get signs and symptoms to look at our lifestyle. It is also not difficult or as boring as people think to get into balance. It is also never too late to do something about it. K.I.S.S. (keep it super simple) and beat cancerCancer.......It is only a word, a word that strikes fear and panic in most of us. Why is that? Our belief and perception of what this word means to us has been built up over our lifetime depending on the experience we have had with the illness and what we have seen in the media.
We are taught all our life to listen to the professionals, take advice from people who know more than we do. In lots of areas this is good advice. I believe, however, that when it comes to our own bodies we have our own intuitive knowledge that we are taught to ignore. Our body has its own innate intelligence that strives to maintain balance, this is essential to health. Notice that I say health and not survival. There are a lot of people on this planet who are surviving purely because their body is constantly self-healing, self-medicating and regenerating, this never stops, how well your body does this depends on you. Do you listen to your body? or do you run to the Doctor or take a pill at the first symptom? Cancer is a sign that there is something wrong with your body's balance, in fact it is a sign that there has been a problem for quite some time and you may have ignored or missed other signs. It is never too late to take notice of what your body is saying to you. FACTS about Cancer & health : FACT: we all have cells in our body that have the ability to become cancerous and our immune system works continuously to destroy these cells when it is functioning properly. FACT: there are hundreds of ways to kill cancer cells and get the body back in balance. FACT: Every person and every cancer is unique. FACT: cancer is a symptom FACT: cancer is a systemic, not a localised disease. It is one way that your body uses to tell you that your lifestyle needs to change. FACT: STRESS is the major cause of almost ALL illness and Dis—ease FACT: a healthy immune system keeps cancer away. FACT: Bicarbonate increases tumour PH and inhibits spontaneous metastasis. (Robey 2009). FACT: high levels of oxygen increase the chance of beating cancer. FACT: physical activity increases oxygen levels. FACT: Cancer cells cannot survive in an oxygenated alkaline environment.(Dr. Otto H.Warburg , Nobel prize 1932) FACT: cancer is an ACIDIC condition, acidic tissue is low in oxygen. FACT: Sodium Bicarbonate is the mainstream universal treatment of acidosis. FACT: Sodium Bicarbonate is used by oncologists to neutralise the heavy acid nature of the chemotherapy . FACT: water is the most basic of medicines. FACT: A good nights sleep helps to keep your immune system healthy and strong. FACT: Most people do not know how to BREATHE properly and breathe = life! Cancer, above all other diseases, has countless secondary causes. But, even for cancer, there is only one prime cause. Summarized in a few words, the prime cause of cancer is the replacement of the respiration of oxygen in normal body cells by a fermentation of sugar. —Otto H. Warburg, [10] I am not advocating that anyone with cancer, or any illness, ignores advice from their physician, I am saying that it is important however that you listen to your body and allow it to help you to heal. Whether we are professional , trained people or not we only know what we know, we do not know what we do not know, and that may be the answer. Most of the time it all seems so complicated and so much easier to let other people make the decisions. It does not have to be. My motto is K.I.S.S. (keep it super simple) for all things. We can have as much difficulty and complications as we want in life or we can K.I.S.S.
