Have you noticed how much of your life you spend on standby? You know what standby is, don´t you? The television has a standby mode, ready to pop on at the touch of a button; the computer has standby to save us having to wait for it to load when we want to use it, and we go on standby ready to fly when there is a seat available. When your body is on standby the mind and body are disconnected. The communication is interrupted. When your mind and body are connected and in harmony, your body uses its own innate intelligence to self-heal, self medicate and regenerate. When your body is functioning optimally your mind and body work together to maintain the delicate balance that is necessary for health and happiness. There is a connection that flows between your mind and body, an energetic connection as well as a physical one. It is common knowledge that your body needs the flow of blood and oxygen to function. What is not so well known is that you also have an energy flow through your body. It's like an electric current, and just because you cannot see electricity doesn´t mean it's not there, does it? You rely on electricity every day, you know that if there is a disconnection in the circuit the electricity will not flow and you will have no power. Your body works in exactly the same way. Your energy flow is responding to how you FEEL. As soon as you feel in any way uneasy your energy flow becomes disrupted, you lose power, your body goes into "standby". In order to function optimally you have to reconnect that supply............and its easy! There are many tools that can help you to reconnect easily and quickly, restoring the mind/body connection and allowing you to switch back on. There is ONE sure-fire way to restore and maintain that connection and flow, Redress Stress. A simple step-by-step guide that reveals the power available to everyone to take control of their life. So are you ready to be switched on? Go to Redress Stress The only person stopping you is Y O U. You Got This.

Are you a multitasker? You may well be able to do more than one thing at a time however it is impossible for you to :
Notice that all of these have one thing in common - what we would call good or bad, positive or negative effect. You see... you cannot feel good and bad at the same time. Can you be happy all the time? Living in this world today we are constantly encountering people, places, events and things that we have differing responses and reactions to. Our mind and our senses are being bombarded with billions of data every second. to keep us sane (at least a little!) Our mind and body has its own unique filter system so that we are only aware of what is important to us or what we are focused on at the time. You may be dealing with something that you do not like. You may see, read or hear about something that makes you feel sad, angry or frustrated. Whatever you are feeling, thinking and focusing on you will notice more of it all around you. You ask " How can I feel happy when so many things that I don't feel good about are happening to me and around me? " Let me explain.... I am not saying that you can feel happy about these things, however the more you feel the negative feelings the more difficult it will be for you to feel good about anything and you will miss the" good " things that are happening too. So how to shift the focus and therefore allow your filter to open up to what else is out there? When you see, hear or experience something that you do not like - Ask yourself, is there anything I can do to change this right now? to improve it? If there is, and you want to, then do that, if there is not then make the decision not to think about it, talk about it, blog and post about it or focus on it for now. You will be amazed at the difference this makes to your life. As soon as we decide to look at things in a different way or to not focus on things that we do not feel good about and cannot change we allow the things that we do feel good about to come into our awareness AND we even start to look at the things we didn´t like in different ways. YOU ALWAYS HAVE RESPONSE - ABILITY .......IT'S A CHOICE ABOUT WHETHER YOU WANT TO BE RESPONSE - ABLE! THERE IS ALWAYS CHOICE!!!!!!!!!
What are Allergies? An allergy is the body´s reaction to substances that are usually harmless to most people. When you're allergic to something, your immune system mistakenly believes that this substance is harmful to your body and your immune system identifies it as an allergen. An allergen is any substance that the body recognises as foreign or dangerous. Allergies are not caused by pollen, foods, medicines, etc.,.however in some people these things can act as triggers causing the body to react. In an attempt to protect the body, the immune system produces IgE antibodies to that allergen. Those antibodies then cause certain cells in the body to release chemicals into the bloodstream, one of which is histamine. The trigger is not the reason the body is reacting, if that were so everyone would react, wouldn´t they? Why Do People Get Allergies It has been suggested that the tendency to develop allergies is often genetic, however, as with all genes, just because you have an inherited gene doesn't mean you will definitely develop the allergy/disease/illness that your family genes may show. A person usually doesn't inherit a particular allergy/disease/illness,just the genetic tendency towards these. A healthy body with a strong immune system does not have allergies. So why do we get allergies then….
Types of Allergic Diseases The fact is that many conditions are caused by an allergic response in the body. It is not only runny noses, itchy eyes and rashes that are the signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction. When there is a build up of toxins and the body cannot eliminate them we then see signs of disease and chronic illness - some of the most common are:
Dealing with Allergies So you have an allergy, what do you do? The conventional treatment for allergies is avoidance and suppression of the symptoms. While this will give temporary relief it will not improve the condition sufficiently unless you are able to completely avoid the allergen for the rest of your life. Also as the body will still be in a state of imbalance it usually will mean that this will show up in another way. To correct allergic conditions, the body must be brought into balance and allowed to self heal. Detoxification and strengthening of the immune system while avoiding the allergic trigger is important. Keeping It Super Simple: Give your body what it needs to do its job, it will always strive for health and wellness and even the most toxic body will find a way to maintain life as long as possible. Getting the basic needs of the body are, as always, the first step :
Of course you can always opt for the band aid / quick fix, and pop a pill or nasal spray or live your life avoiding , for some people, a multitude of triggers. If you seriously want to live your life in a happy healthy way....there is nothing to stop you...except YOU! If you would like further information please feel free to contact me here..... Calling all dieters....hear ye! hear ye! So you want to lose weight. You have tried all the diets, starved yourself exercised until you ache all over and it´s just not working. or... You managed the diet , exercised, looking great however struggling to keep to what you feel is your ideal weight. The reason? What you believe about dieting and how to lose weight is arse about face as we say in Scotland. Successful dieting is not about losing the excess fat, it´s about keeping it off. Diets, no matter what kind, don´t work. As soon as you come off the diet the weight starts piling on again, and it´s harder to shift this time around. That´s why most diets are referred to as the yo-yo diet. This is the BIGGY - diets are NOT a long term solution to weight control. As always I like to KISS - Keep It Super Simple In order to lose weight and keep your ideal weight you need to first of all
Then and this is what we need to look at arse about face.......
In general the only people that think about their blood sugar are people who have been diagnosed as diabetic, however, this is the key to successful weight loss and control. Your body is constantly striving for balance, when any system is out of balance it results in dis - ease and your health suffers. Every illness and disease is simply an imbalance in the body. Find the imbalance, correct it and we restore health. Excess weight is an imbalance in the body. Your blood sugar level is the amount of glucose, from what you eat, that’s circulating in your bloodstream to provide energy to cells immediately or be stored for future use. When we eat, our body converts carbohydrates into glucose, this is how we get our energy. When our blood sugar levels rise the body produces a hormone called insulin in order to allow the glucose to enter your cells and give you energy. Interestingly stress causes glucose to be released and insulin to be suppressed. Insulin and weight gain When glucose is able to enter your cells then glucose levels in your blood drop. The higher your blood sugar , the more insulin you produce. Glucose that your body cells do not use accumulates as fat. If you have too much insulin circulating it will also hinder the body´s ability to break down fat. So as you can see increased blood sugar leads to increased insulin production. Ironically, not getting enough sugar can also lead to putting on extra pounds! Eating too little glucose can lead to a low blood sugar level, causing your body to go into “starvation mode” and then it will burn your lean muscle instead of the fat . So how do we do this using the KISS method? 1. Make sure you drink enough good water daily. Are you hungry or thirsty? Quite often when we feel hungry the body is actually thirsty. Water helps the body metabolize stored fat, rid the body of waste (as in unwanted fat and toxins), and is a natural diuretic and a natural laxative. The way to tell if you are hydrated enough is how often you have to pee and whether your urine is clear with no strong smell. If you do not have to pee every 1 - 1.5 hours during the day and your urine is concentrated and smells then you need to drink more water. What simpler way could the body have to tell us we are dehydrated. How many of us listen! 2. Maintain a healthy acid/alkaline balance in the body. This can be done with diet. 3. Get to know your body and how your eating and stress levels affect your blood glucose. Avoid eating white flour products , eat more fruit, vegetables, nuts and berries.( these all help to burn fat and maintain blood glucose levels) Avoid drinking soda, replace with carbonated water if you need the bubbles! 4. MOVE You do not have to suddenly become the most frequent visitor at the gym. Take a walk, stretch and bend, whatever you are doing do it consciously and exaggerate the movement a little. 5. Relax! The biggest hurdle people face when they are focusing on their weight is , they are focusing on losing weight which "stresses" them and makes it more difficult. Change the focus = lose the weight! The above is meant to give you an oversight into how easy it can be to maintain your natural body weight. It does not have to be difficult and it is not about depriving yourself.
