Antenatal Care - FreeFloBirthing
Antenatal classes …..can help you during pregnancy by giving advice and information on everything to do with pregnancy, labour and newborn care.
You can get information about the choices available to you for labour and birth. You can discuss any worries you may have with your midwife.
Classes are great source of support in the first few months after your baby is born.
It is probably a good idea to get some information on birthing as early on in your pregnancy as possible if you would like to have a unique and wonderful experience.
The earlier that you connect to your Baby and your Body the easier and more natural it will all be for you.
You do not have to attend full on classes, rather get information and guidance from a source that you trust and are comfortable with. As far as regular antenatal classes are concerned the normal guidelines are :
- start the classes around 28 – 32 weeks pregnant. If you are expecting twins then it is best to start around 24 / 26 weeks pregnant as your babies will most likely be born early.
- This is early enough to prepare you both for the birth.
Be Perfectly Pregnant provides online classes which consist of 6 modules and will prepare you for labour, the birth, your stay in hospital and what to expect when you go home.
